Terms of Service
Last updated October 2026
These terms govern your use of Slancio — a business management app for independent wedding and event photographers, covering bookings, contracts, client chat, galleries, and client photo selection. By creating an account or using Slancio, you agree to these terms. If you're using Slancio as a client through a shared link, the sections marked for clients below apply to you.
1. Who can use Slancio
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a photographer account. Slancio is intended for use by professional and independent photographers running a real photography business, and by their clients interacting through shared links or a lightweight client account.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the booking, contract, and profile information you enter.
- Account authentication is handled by our identity provider (Auth0), with phone verification codes delivered via Twilio. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- A mandatory unique username identifies your public profile and bookings — you may not impersonate another photographer or business.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, misuses the platform, or is used fraudulently, following the moderation process described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Subscription plans & billing
- Slancio offers a Free tier and paid Pro and Studio subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly through Google Play or Apple's respective app stores. We do not process your card details directly.
- Prices shown on this site are in INR and exclude GST, which is added at checkout where applicable. Full pricing, including yearly rates, is set out in our Subscription Policy.
- Storage add-on packs are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions that add to your plan's base storage allowance. They renew until cancelled and apply only while your Pro or Studio subscription is active.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the app store you subscribed via. Cancel any time — you'll keep access through the end of the billing period you already paid for.
- Client galleries get a 14-day grace period after a subscription lapses, then are deleted. Renew within that window if you want to keep a gallery accessible to your client.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Slancio to:
- Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's copyright.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another photographer or a client through chat or any other feature.
- Attempt to bypass storage limits, booking limits, or other plan restrictions through technical means.
- Use the platform for anything unlawful, or to store or transmit content that's illegal, defamatory, or violates a third party's rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account, booking, or gallery — access to bookings, chat, and galleries is tied to your authenticated identity, never a guessable value.
Slancio has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive conduct — including content that sexually exploits a minor, hate speech, harassment, or impersonation. Our Content Policy sets out what's prohibited, how to report or block it, and how we enforce it.
5. Content you upload
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, and other content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Slancio a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to provide the service — for example, delivering a gallery to your client via a private link. We do not use your photos for any purpose beyond operating the features you use.
6. Clients using shared links
If you're a client accessing a gallery, chat thread, or photo selection through a link a photographer shared with you, or through a lightweight account created by claiming an Order ID: that access is provided by the photographer's account and subject to their arrangement with you. Slancio provides the platform but isn't a party to the underlying booking agreement between you and your photographer.
7. Third-party services
Slancio relies on third-party providers to operate — including authentication, payment processing, cloud storage, and AI features. These are described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Slancio is also subject to those providers' own terms where you interact with them directly (for example, Google Play or Apple's terms when you subscribe).
8. Disclaimers
Slancio is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. You're responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical business records outside the app where practical, even though booking data syncs automatically to the cloud.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slancio and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost bookings, lost revenue, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile › Delete Account). Deletion follows a 14-day restore window, after which your data is permanently deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these terms, with notice where practical. A suspended account has a 7-day window to export its data before removal.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Slancio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
